Pure Turbos PURE800 (NEW) Turbo Upgrade – BMW B58 F-Series (Gen 1)

OVERVIEW

The Pure800 (NEW) is Pure Turbos' turbo upgrade for the first-generation (Gen 1) B58 3.0L engine, built on a new aftermarket housing to the OEM design for a direct-fit installation. It pairs a billet compressor wheel with a high-flow turbine wheel and an upgraded center housing rotating assembly (CHRA). Pure Turbos rates it as 700+ whp capable, with results depending on fuel and supporting modifications.

Because it uses a new housing, there is no core exchange and no core deposit; your factory turbo stays with you. For the core-exchange version on your OEM housing, see the Pure800 B58 Gen 1.

Additional Parts Required

• Custom ECU tune: required by Pure Turbos for engine safety and to reach the rated power. Tune options we stock: MHD Super License for B58 (F + G Series), bootmod3 B58 tune, JB4 Tuner for B58 Gen 1 & Gen 2. Pure Turbos considers Bend Calibration's tuning unsuitable for this product and publishes a list of recommended calibrators; ask Speed Logic for a recommendation.
• Turbo gaskets, O-rings, and oil and coolant line seals: single-use items that should be replaced during installation; not supplied with the turbocharger.
• Supporting fuel system: needed at higher power levels, e.g. an E85 blend with an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump such as the Dorch Stage 1.5 HPFP Upgrade Kit – B58 Gen 1 or Dorch Stage 2.5 HPFP Upgrade – B58 Gen 1. Confirm your fueling before ordering; we can advise.

Installation

• Pure Turbos pre-lube and break-in procedure (manufacturer FAQ): pureturbos.com/faq. Pour clean engine oil into the turbo oil inlet and spin the compressor wheel by hand to coat the bearings, then idle 5–10 minutes without revving.
• Pure Turbos does not publish installation instructions or videos for this upgrade; professional installation is recommended.

• The Install Kit option is a Speed Logic add-on; Pure Turbos does not sell an install kit with this turbo.
• B58 Gen 1 only. Gen 2 (2020+) cars take the B58 Gen 2 range.
