OVERVIEW

Version 2 of Valvetronic Designs' F-Chassis Valved Axle-Back is the most refined system yet for the BMW F-Series lineup, built in T304 stainless steel with electronic valves and a newly engineered cast Y-pipe. Version 2 introduces a redesigned valve for improved reliability and responsiveness, relocated hangers, and revised muffler internals for a more docile, refined tone when the valves are closed. The cast Y-pipe maximizes exhaust flow and enhances tonal quality, delivering a more engaging, sonorous sound across the rev range, whether paired with the OEM mid-pipe or most aftermarket mid-pipes matching factory dimensions.

With the valves open, the system produces a deep, raw, aggressive tone with loud pops, sharp overrun snaps, and pronounced gear-change sounds; with them closed, it returns to near-stock volume for quiet commuting or late-night driving. The valves are fully integrated with BMW's factory drive-mode settings for instant sound control from the cabin. Construction is brushed T304 stainless steel with precision TIG welds, full mandrel bends, and sleeve-style exhaust tips for perfect alignment.

Additional Parts Required

• For non-M-Sport or 4-cylinder applications, an M-Sport-style diffuser is necessary for correct dual-tip fitment.
• 4-cylinder owners: an adapter pipe is included (welding recommended) and a 6-cylinder diffuser, or diffuser modification, is required for proper tip exit.
• B58/B46 owners require a minor mid-pipe modification — see Valvetronic Designs' own B58/4-cylinder midpipe modification guide.
• Non-valve cars need Valvetronic Designs' Electronic Exhaust Valve Harness to enable in-car valve control. This accessory is not currently a separate Speed Logic listing — contact Speed Logic to source one.
