Valvetronic Designs Valved Sport Exhaust System – BMW M3/M4 (G80/G82/G83)

OVERVIEW

The G80/G82/G83 M3 and M4 are phenomenal cars, but the factory exhaust note leaves room to grow. The Valvetronic Designs Valved Sport Exhaust System centers on a single 3.5" equal-length mid-pipe that unlocks the S58's character without touching the OEM rear section, and pairs with an optional valved axle-back for even more presence and control. The equal-length design balances exhaust pulses for a smoother, higher-frequency tone, while the single 3.5" mid-section is optimized for improved throttle response and power throughout the rev range. The system is modular by design: it pairs with the OEM or an aftermarket rear section, and the valved axle-back can be added at any time as an upgrade path.

With the optional valved axle-back installed, a quad-chamber muffler and OEM-style electronic valves deliver daily-driver civility with the valves closed and an aggressive, motorsport edge with them open, controlled electronically via the included controller (OEM drive-mode integration is also available). The system is compatible with OEM downpipes or free-flow front pipes and is engineered to avoid check-engine lights. It is built in T304 stainless steel or ultra-light Grade 5 titanium, with precision TIG welds, fully mandrel-bent tubing, and an included cross brace for rigidity.

TECH RESOURCES

• Required extras: None. Ships as a complete bolt-on kit. A replacement Valvetronic Designs Extended Chassis Brace is sold separately if needed.
• Official Valvetronic Designs G8x install guide (YouTube) — step-by-step mid-pipe / axle-back installation.
• Mid-pipe and axle-back can be installed independently.
• When installing only a mid-pipe or axle-back, make the rear-section cut at the second dimple on the OEM pipe to ensure proper fitment.
• V1/V2 mid-pipe or axle-back components are not compatible with the current V3 system.
• The V3 mid-pipe includes extra clearance at the downpipe connection and mid-section; small visible gaps before tightening are normal and by design.
