OVERVIEW

Wagner Tuning's EVO I Competition intercooler is engineered in Germany as a direct upgrade over the factory N20 and N55 unit. The OEM intercooler is quickly overcome by heat, and once it heat-soaks you lose boost and power — a problem that only gets worse once you add a tune or run in a hot climate. The Wagner core carries far more cooling capacity and flows better, so charge temperatures stay down and boost stays where the tune expects it.

The kit uses a tube-fin competition centre core with turbulators for lower intake temperatures and less pressure drop. Wagner replaces the factory plastic end tanks with cast aluminium items designed in CAD and optimised in CFD, which removes internal bottlenecks and is far more durable long term. It is a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock intercooler — no bumper removal, no bracket modification and no plumbing changes — which makes it a sensible upgrade for street, track and daily-driven cars alike.
