OVERVIEW

XClutch sprung organic kits offer excellent dampening and the highest levels of driveability in the XClutch range, which makes them the natural choice for a performance street car that still has to behave in traffic.

This Stage 1 kit is a complete single-disc clutch and flywheel package for the 8-bolt crankshaft N54, rated by XClutch for up to 440 ft-lb of torque with a 70 percent increase in clamping force over stock. Everything needed for the job is in the box, including the flywheel, release bearing, pilot bushing and alignment tool.

Additional Parts Required

• None. XClutch supplies the flywheel, release bearing, pilot bushing, bolts, alignment tool and spline grease in the kit — no separate flywheel or bearing purchase is needed.
• Break-in is required. XClutch specifies driving the vehicle gently for the first 1,000 km (roughly 620 miles), avoiding aggressive launches; low-rpm engagements bed the friction material in properly.
• XClutch recommends inspecting the concentric slave cylinder while the transmission is out and replacing it if worn, since the labor is already committed.
• Professional installation; transmission removal is required.

Notes

• This part number is for cars with the 8-bolt crankshaft — approximately up to January 2009 build dates. Confirm whether your engine has a 6-bolt or 8-bolt crank before ordering.
