XClutch Twin Disc Clutch Kit (8-Bolt) – BMW 135i / 335i

OVERVIEW

This 9 inch XClutch twin-disc kit for the 8-bolt crankshaft N54 is offered in two friction materials. The Stage 4 rigid organic version is designed specifically for high-horsepower street-driven cars: the twin organic discs optimize pedal feel and reliability where a single disc would be marginal. The Stage 5 rigid ceramic version is built for high-horsepower motorsport applications where a high heat and torque capacity is required.

Both versions are supplied complete with a chromoly performance flywheel, release bearing, pilot bushing and alignment tool. Choose the disc material at checkout.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• None. XClutch supplies the chromoly flywheel, release bearing, pilot bushing, bolts, alignment tool and spline grease in the kit.
• Break-in is required. XClutch specifies driving the vehicle gently for the first 1,000 km (roughly 620 miles), avoiding aggressive launches; low-rpm engagements bed the friction material in properly.
• XClutch recommends inspecting the concentric slave cylinder while the transmission is out and replacing it if worn, since the labor is already committed.
• Professional installation; transmission removal is required. Rigid-hub twin-disc clutches transmit more drivetrain noise than a sprung street disc.
