Active Autowerke xDrive Charge Pipe – BMW 335i xDrive / 435i xDrive / X3 / X4 (F Chassis)

OVERVIEW

The Active Autowerke N55 charge pipe in the version designed specifically for X-Drive cars: 2012 and newer BMW F3X X3, X4, 335ix and 435ix models with the N55 engine. The BMW N55 uses an all-plastic factory charge pipe that will eventually break at the plastic seam — it is a matter of when, not if — and when it does the ECU senses a large vacuum leak and sends the car into limp mode. This all-aluminum replacement was designed from inception to cure that problem, is almost indestructible, and adds a raised boss with two upstream ports for the water/methanol nozzles the N55 otherwise lacks a factory provision for, so the mix atomizes properly before entering the engine.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• BMW factory throttle clip and O-ring — required and NOT included with the charge pipe. Re-use the originals from your factory charge pipe or source replacements from BMW.
• Optional: water/methanol injection nozzles (not included) if you intend to use the two provided boss ports.
• Rear-wheel-drive F-chassis N55 cars use the Active Autowerke F-Series charge pipe (15-004) instead.

• Active Autowerke does not publish an installation PDF for this charge pipe. Contact Speed Logic with fitment or installation questions.

Notes

• For X-Drive (xi) models with the N55 engine only. Confirm your engine and model year with Speed Logic before ordering.
