AST Suspension Lowering Springs – BMW M3 (G80)

OVERVIEW

The AST Lowering Springs lower your car's center of gravity while preserving the comfort you are used to from the original equipment springs. They are a direct replacement for the OEM springs and are developed specifically for each vehicle.

The springs are cold coiled from premium materials on Wafios coiling machines, and the progressive design strikes a balance between lowering the car and improving how it performs. AST backs them with a lifetime warranty against breakage.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• Four-wheel alignment — mandatory. Lowering the car changes camber and toe. Book the alignment for immediately after installation.
• Professional installation. The struts have to come apart to change springs; this is work for a qualified suspension shop.
• Coil spring compressor. Required to disassemble the factory strut assemblies safely — installer-supplied.
• No damper change required. AST develops and tests these springs to work with the factory dampers, including the adaptive M dampers fitted to these cars.
• Optional: replace worn strut mounts, bump stops and dust boots while the struts are apart.
• Optional upgrade: AST Adjustable Lowering Springs (ASTALS-21-004) if you want ride height to remain adjustable after installation.
