OVERVIEW

The AWE SwitchPath Catback Exhaust for the G8X M3 / M4 is a perfectly balanced and tuned system that delivers volume when you want it without droning at cruising speed. Replacing the factory muffler uncovers the pure sound of the S58, making this the choice for a driver who wants an aggressive response on throttle but does not want to wake the neighbors on the way home.

SwitchPath technology uses the factory valving and the M-Sport button, so tone is changed on the fly with no additional remote and no extra controls in the cabin. It is AWE's first SwitchPath exhaust for BMW to incorporate drone-canceling 180 Technology, and a bespoke X-pipe unlocks a smooth tone out of the engine.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• None. AWE specifies no additional hardware, no tune and no valve controller for this exhaust — it retains the factory valve control and the M-Sport button.
• Professional installation and a vehicle lift. Recommended for correct tip alignment and hanger loading.
• Optional: AWE Non-Resonated Performance Mid Pipes for BMW G8X M3 / M4 — adds volume and a more aggressive tone, and turns the rear section into a full cat-back. When AWE mid pipes are used, the inlet adapters supplied with this exhaust are not required.
• Optional: new exhaust hardware and clamps if the factory fasteners are corroded — installer-supplied.

Notes

• Convertible fitment: AWE states its G8X exhaust suite is not guaranteed to fit convertible models because of the additional factory bracing. AWE exhausts are confirmed to fit stock and M Performance valances. Confirm your car's configuration with Speed Logic before ordering.
