Bootmod3 FlexFuel Kit Basic – BMW G-Series (S58)

OVERVIEW

The bootmod3 FlexFuel Kit – Basic is the frequently requested, more economical alternative to the bootmod3 High Flow kit. It is engine-bay mounted and uses specialty fittings to plug and play with the OEM fuel lines, so there is no fabricating, cutting or splicing of factory fuel lines or factory wiring.

The kit is built around a CANBUS-enabled Ethanol Content Analyzer (ECA) that integrates with bootmod3 CustomROM, giving a complete and seamless conversion to flex fuel. Install the kit, flash a flex-fuel-enabled bootmod3 OTS MultiMap or custom map, and you no longer have to think about the alcohol/gasoline blend percentage in the tank.

This kit is for engine bay installation. It is fully reversible and can be removed back to stock without a trace in minutes.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• Bootmod3 license for the S58 engine — required. The ECA reports ethanol content to bootmod3 CustomROM; without an active bootmod3 license on the vehicle the kit has nothing to talk to.
• A flex-fuel-enabled bootmod3 OTS MultiMap or a custom map from a bootmod3 tuner — required to actually use the ethanol reading. Custom tune fees are charged by the tuner.
• E85 or an ethanol/gasoline blend — the kit measures blend content; it does not add fuel system capacity.
• Basic hand tools for the engine bay install, supplied by the installer.
• Optional: an auxiliary fuel pressure sensor is not supported by this kit — the 1/8 NPT sensor ports are a feature of the bootmod3 High Flow kit only.
