OVERVIEW

bootmod3 (BM3) is a cloud-based flash tuning platform for the BMW F and G series. It is a full DME remap rather than a piggyback module, developed and tested in-house over almost two years before its November 2016 debut, with new features and updates added regularly.

Build the tune for your N20 or N26 powered BMW and move from stock to full race calibration, and everywhere in between, with a map switch in the app. bootmod3 calibrates the factory vehicle modules over the OBD port in a matter of minutes, in your own driveway or anywhere internet access is available, using a web interface on Windows or macOS or the mobile apps for iOS and Android.

• Additional off-the-shelf maps for 91/93/race gas/E85 are a separate purchase from Bootmod3 unless labeled FREE
• No hardware is included with the license on its own. The bundle option in the variant selector above adds the bootmod3 OBD WiFi adapter.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• bootmod3 OBD WiFi adapter, or a generic OBD2-to-Ethernet (ENET) cable — one or the other is required to connect the car to bootmod3. Speed Logic does not stock these as separate listings; the WiFi adapter can be added using the bundle option in the variant selector above.
• A compatible device — an iOS or Android phone when using the WiFi adapter, or a Windows/macOS laptop (Google Chrome recommended) when using an ENET cable.
• Ethernet-to-USB adapter — only if your laptop has no built-in Ethernet port.
• Internet access at the vehicle — bootmod3 is a cloud platform and must reach the bootmod3 servers to download and flash a map.
• Battery charger or tender, recommended to hold voltage steady for the duration of the flash. Bootmod3 does not publish a minimum voltage figure; this is standard practice for any DME flash.
