OVERVIEW
CSF's Race-Spec cooler for the E-Chassis BMW replaces the factory oil/transmission cooler with a far more capable unit built on CSF's AC condenser technology. Where the OEM cooler uses a ten-tube core, CSF packs in eleven super-high-pressure micro-tubes and wraps them in a high-density multi-louvered fin, producing roughly 20% more surface area contact than the factory part. In CSF's own lab testing the result is approximately 30% more heat rejection than the OEM cooler.
The cooler is a true drop-in. It accepts every attaching OEM component — oil-line connections, mounting brackets and the factory shroud and ducting — so no lines need to be modified or re-routed. CSF markets this as the world's first genuinely plug-and-play transmission cooler for the E9X M3 platform; on manual-transmission cars the same unit serves as an upgraded engine oil cooler.
