OVERVIEW

CSF's high-performance all-aluminum radiator for the Gen 1 B58 (and B48) F-chassis BMW 2, 3 and 4 Series replaces the factory plastic-tank, single-row radiator with a 2-row 42mm all-aluminum core built for high-boost and big-turbo builds.

As power goes up on F-chassis cars, the factory radiator struggles to keep up, especially with the heat exchanger mounted in front of it. Coolant temps can climb high enough on track to trigger limp mode, and OEM plastic radiators degrade over time with clogged tubes, damaged fins and a growing risk of cracked tanks or gasket failure.

CSF's radiator uses its exclusive B-Tube technology and "Track-Spec" 5mm fins for a 20–25% gain in heat transfer efficiency, with 100% TIG-welded aluminum tanks instead of crimped plastic. It works with factory or aftermarket heat exchangers and is a true drop-in fit.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• None. CSF Radiators specifies no additional hardware for this part — it is a drop-in replacement for BMW radiator 17118482623 using the OEM mounting points and fittings.
• Installer-supplied: fresh BMW-spec coolant and distilled water to refill and bleed the system, plus a drain pan.

Installation

• CSF does not publish a downloadable installation PDF for this radiator. Printed installation instructions are packed in the box.
• Installation is a direct swap onto the factory mounting points with the OEM-style inlet/outlet; no cutting or drilling is required.
• Bleed the cooling system completely after refilling before the car is driven.

Notes

• Check your radiator before ordering: CSF #7089 replaces BMW OE 17118482623 only. It will not replace OE 17118652497, found on early F3X 340i/440i with build dates up to 07/2016.
• CSF #7089 and OE 17118482623 have a single auxiliary-radiator connection on the lower left-hand tank; OE 17118652497 has two. Compare against the product photos or call a BMW dealer with your VIN — or contact Speed Logic and we will check it for you.
• Pairs with the CSF Gen 1 B58/B48 heat exchanger (8131), the CSF F-chassis auxiliary radiator (8355) and the CSF Gen 1 B58 charge-air cooler manifold (8300).
