Dinan High-Flow X-Pipe – BMW M3 / M4 (F8x)

OVERVIEW

The Dinan High Flow X-Pipe for the F8x M3/M4 elicits an aggressive sound that captures the ear of all bystanders. Paired with the matching Dinan axle-back exhaust the tone sharpens further into an aggressive growl reminiscent of the Dinan E9x M3 racing middle exhaust — the same custom "X" design carried over to the F8x chassis. Unlike the stamped X-pipes common in the marketplace, the Dinan "X" is engineered for maximum flow.

The X-Pipe removes the factory center section behind the secondary catalytic converters, including the large resonator, replacing it with straight-through mandrel-bent 2.75" T304 stainless steel tubing and the custom crossover. The kit ships complete with mounting hardware, OE-quality clamps and flanges. Note: because a resonator is deleted, there is potential for increased cabin noise — consider that before ordering.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• None. Dinan supplies the clamps, couplers and spacer plates required to fit this midpipe.
• Cut-off saw or exhaust pipe cutter (installer-supplied). The factory pipe must be cut to the measurements given in the instructions before the X-Pipe can be fitted.
• Torque wrench — 24 ft-lbs (32 Nm) on 8 mm fasteners and 45 ft-lbs (61 Nm) on 10 mm fasteners. Installer-supplied.
• Optional: Dinan Free Flow Axle-Back Exhaust — 2015-2020 BMW M3/M4, the matching rear section Dinan developed this midpipe alongside.
