Eventuri Black Carbon Intake – Toyota GR Supra (A90)

OVERVIEW

The MK5 Supra Eventuri intake was developed to give the turbo a less restrictive flow path while keeping inlet temperatures low. Heat and volume are the two main considerations when designing an intake for a turbocharged engine. In the Supra the intake sits next to the exhaust manifold, which rapidly heat soaks the engine bay, and high temperatures hurt performance because the turbo has to build boost with heated, less dense air. The only way to keep IATs to a minimum is a fully sealed intake — but sealing the system normally creates a restriction, since there is only one factory air feed to draw from.

Eventuri's answer is a sealed prepreg carbon airbox with dual feeds and a gold-backed heat shield, paired with a smooth carbon inlet tube that replaces the convoluted stock item. The result is an intake that flows significantly more air than stock while staying isolated from engine bay heat.

• Intake tube internal diameter increased from 80.8 mm (3.2 in) stock to 109 mm (4.3 in) — an 82% increase in cross-sectional area over stock, per Eventuri
• 100% pre-preg carbon fiber with no fiberglass, giving a smooth internal surface that maintains laminar airflow
• Gloss black carbon finish
• Fully sealed carbon fiber airbox with dual air feeds
• Bespoke high flow dry cone filter — ISO tested for filtration performance, cleanable and reusable, double-layered non-woven mesh on a urethane base with an internal flow-guiding cone
• Heat shield with gold reflective backing to combat radiant heat from the exhaust manifold
• Uses a CNC machined temperature sensor mount — this platform is speed-density and does not use a MAF
