Evolution Racewerks Diverter Valve Charge Pipe – BMW Z4 (N54)

OVERVIEW

The Evolution Racewerks Diverter Valve Charge Pipe brings the company's most popular N54 charge pipe design to the E89 Z4 sDrive35i and 35is. It works with the factory diverter valves or with aftermarket factory-style diverter valves.

The pipe is made from lightweight high grade 6061 aluminum and is throttle body matched at 3". The factory diverter valve sound baffle, which causes turbulence inside the stock pipe, is removed. Evolution Racewerks states the result is increased throttle response and reduced turbo lag.

The throttle body connection reproduces the factory design: an o-ring inside a precision CNC machined flange locked by a c-clip, rather than the silicone hose and clamp used by other aftermarket diverter valve pipes. A CNC machined MAP sensor flange keeps that connection leak free, and beaded pipe ends with T-bolt clamps stop the intercooler piping coming off under boost.
