Evolution Racewerks Competition 4" Downpipe – BMW N26 (F20 / F21 / F30)

OVERVIEW

The Evolution Racewerks Competition Series 4" Downpipe is built specifically for the BMW N26 four-cylinder turbo engine and fits 2012 and newer 328i, 320i, 428i and 228i models with that engine. It does not fit the N20 engine, so the engine code must be confirmed before ordering.

Removing the factory catalytic converter and its restriction lets the turbocharger breathe. Evolution Racewerks measures 14 to 16 whp average and 16 wtq average on stock boost, rising to over 24 wtq with a software upgrade, with gains varying by the rest of the vehicle's modifications. The downpipe is mandrel bent in 4" stainless steel, TIG welded, and uses CNC machined turbocharger V-band and ball joint flanges along with a stainless flex section so the exhaust can move without stressing the turbo and manifold.

• Installer supplies normal hand tools, a vehicle lift or stands, and penetrating oil for the factory exhaust fasteners.

Installation

• Evolution Racewerks does not publish a downloadable installation guide for this downpipe. It installs as a direct replacement for the factory downpipe using the supplied hardware.
