Evolution Racewerks Lower Intercooler (LIC) Charge Pipe Kit – BMW X5 / X6 35i N55 (E70 / E71 / F15 / F16)

OVERVIEW

The Evolution Racewerks Lower Intercooler (LIC) Charge Pipe Kit replaces the factory rubber/plastic lower charge pipe on the BMW X5 35i and X6 35i with the N55 single-turbo engine (E70, E71, F15 and F16), a part that is prone to breaking under high boost. In its place ER supplies a lightweight, mandrel-bent 6061 aluminum pipe sized to match the intercooler at 2.5".

Hard piping keeps a constant inner diameter and will not balloon or collapse the way a rubber hose does, giving better throttle response and reduced turbo lag. The pipe retains a factory-style O-ring lock flange, precision CNC machined for a leak-free connection, so it is a plug-and-play swap.

Installation

• Evolution Racewerks does not publish an installation guide or video for this charge pipe. It installs in the factory location using the retained O-ring lock flange.
