Evolution Racewerks Sports Series 4" High Flow Catted Downpipe – BMW N55 (F2x / F3x / F87)

OVERVIEW

The Evolution Racewerks Sports Series 4" High Flow Catted Downpipe replaces the restrictive factory downpipe and catalytic converter on the N55 single-turbo six cylinder, covering the F30 335i, F32/F33 435i, F20/F21/F22 M135i and M235i, and the 2017 F87 M2.

The factory catalytic converter is built from catalyst material formed into a tight honeycomb weave that restricts flow and creates turbulence downstream. The Sports Series downpipe swaps it for a high flow 200 cell metallic catalytic converter, and Evolution Racewerks states the result is a higher maximum horsepower curve, a torque curve that arrives sooner and holds longer, better throttle response and faster turbo spool.

The downpipe is mandrel bent for a smooth transition into the exhaust system and is fully TIG welded in house by Evolution Racewerks for consistent weld quality and track-tested durability.
