Evolution Racewerks Sports Series Resonated Mid Pipes – BMW X3M (F97) / X4M (F98) S58

OVERVIEW

Evolution Racewerks' Sports Series Resonated Mid Pipes are built for the twin turbo S58 engine and fit 2020 and newer BMW X3M and X4M models. They replace the restrictive factory resonators with free-flowing resonators, delivering a higher maximum horsepower curve, a torque curve that arrives sooner and holds longer, better throttle response and faster spool.

The resonated version is tuned for a quieter tone close to factory while still improving flow. That makes it the right choice for owners who do not want an exhaust note louder than stock, or who already run aftermarket downpipes or an exhaust system that has become too loud, and still want a performance gain. Mandrel bent tubing throughout promotes flow and supports the horsepower and torque increase.

The mid pipes keep an "H" style crossover, which equalizes pressure between the left and right exhaust pipes to promote flow and reduce droning. In ER's testing an "H" crossover reduced droning and improved low end torque compared with an "X" design, and the factory mid pipe uses an "H" crossover as well. Construction is 100% 304 grade stainless steel with mandrel bent piping, 100% TIG welded by ER's in-house fabricators and built in the USA, with billet stainless steel CNC precision cut flanges. The factory bracket hanger is retained, laser cut and TIG welded with stainless rod, and high quality exhaust clamps join the mid pipes to the rear muffler section.

Installation

• Evolution Racewerks does not publish a downloadable installation guide for these mid pipes. They bolt to the factory flanges, reuse the factory bracket hangers and clamp to the rear muffler section.
