H&R Sport Cup Kit – BMW 335d / 335i Sedan (E90)

OVERVIEW

The H&R Sport Cup Kit is the aggressive half of H&R's cup kit programme — H&R describes it as extreme lowering with a nice ride. Spring and shock are engineered together as one package rather than simply matched, which is what lets a drop this large stay civil on the street.

On the E90 335d and 335i sedan the kit lowers the car roughly 2.1" at the front and 1.5" at the rear for a super-low performance stance, a markedly lower centre of gravity and less body roll through corners. The progressive spring rate keeps ride comfort in normal driving despite the aggressive ride height.

Springs are cold-wound from 54SiCr6 spring steel and shot-peened, a process H&R states increases spring life by more than 200%. Production is completed in-house at H&R's ISO-certified facility in Germany.

Additional Parts Required

• Four-wheel alignment after installation. H&R requires the wheel alignment to be checked any time ride height is changed.
• Professional installation. H&R states its springs and suspensions should be installed by professional suspension mechanics only.
• Verify wheel and tyre clearance before driving — at this ride height aftermarket wheel and tyre packages need to be checked carefully.
• Some applications require the factory bumpstops to be trimmed — check the H&R technical sheet for your kit number before installing.
• If your car is fitted with EDC / adaptive dampers, confirm compatibility with Speed Logic before ordering.
