OVERVIEW
H&R Sport Springs are the best-selling performance street spring for BMW, and replacing the factory coils is usually the first step in tuning a street car's suspension. Lowering the body reduces the center of gravity and cuts body roll, which improves handling and chassis balance while closing up the fender gap for an aggressive but still driveway-friendly stance. This is H&R's RWD Sport Spring application for the G82 M4 / M4 Competition coupe, built for cars equipped with the factory Adaptive Suspension.
H&R's own current fitment data for this same part number also extends coverage to the 2026+ G87 M2 CS on cars equipped with factory Adaptive Suspension — both are RWD-only platforms, so a single H&R Sport Spring application covers them.
Spring rates are progressive and run 10–20% higher than stock, so the car keeps its ride quality in normal driving and firms up for proper chassis composure when the road turns. Every H&R spring is crafted from 54SiCr6 spring steel and shot-peened, which H&R states increases spring life by more than 200% and keeps the springs from settling or sagging. All production is completed in-house at H&R's ISO 9001-certified facility in Germany, and each spring is 100% tested before it leaves the plant. Quality assurance is backed by TÜV and ISO 9001 certification.

Notes
- The G87 M2 CS fitment for this part number is confirmed independently on both Turner Motorsport's and Ecstuning's fitment tables for 28616-2, each listing "2026+ M2 CS models only with Adaptive Suspension." Separately, H&R's Australian distributor site lists a differently-numbered part (28616-3M2CS) for the same G87 M2 CS application, which may reflect a market-specific catalog numbering difference rather than a different physical spring — flagged here for awareness, not treated as a contradiction of the two confirmed US sources.
- If your M4 has xDrive, see Speed Logic's separate G82 xDrive coupe (28616-4) or G83 xDrive convertible (28616-5) listings instead.
