H&R Sport Spring Kit – BMW M6 (E64)

OVERVIEW

H&R Sport Springs are the best-selling performance street spring for BMW, and replacing the factory coils is usually the first step in tuning a street car's suspension. Lowering the body reduces the center of gravity and cuts body roll, which improves handling and chassis balance while closing up the fender gap for an aggressive but still driveway-friendly stance.

Spring rates are progressive and run 10–20% higher than stock, so the car keeps its ride quality in normal driving and firms up for proper chassis composure when the road turns. H&R also notes that the lower wind-resistance profile makes the vehicle more streamlined.

Every H&R spring is crafted from 54SiCr6 spring steel and shot-peened, which H&R states increases spring life by more than 200% and keeps the springs from settling or sagging. All production is completed in-house at H&R's ISO 9001-certified facility in Germany, and each spring is 100% tested before it leaves the plant. Quality assurance is backed by TÜV and ISO 9001 certification.
