H&R Street Performance Coilover – BMW 330i xDrive / M340i xDrive (G20, B46/B58), 430i xDrive / M440i / M440i xDrive (G22, B46/B58)

OVERVIEW

The H&R Street Performance Coil Over pairs a custom-valved shock with a precision-engineered progressive-rate H&R spring, so damping and spring rate are matched to each other rather than mixed and matched. This application is built for the xDrive-equipped G20 3 Series and G22 4 Series cars running factory Standard or Sport Suspension — H&R publishes a different kit for cars fitted with factory Adaptive Suspension, and the two are not interchangeable.

Every damper uses a fully threaded shock body, so ride height is set continuously rather than in fixed steps and can be fine-tuned corner by corner. The dampers are mono-tube gas units built from premium materials for a lower center of gravity and improved control.

Additional Parts Required

• Suspension configuration check — confirm your car has factory Standard or Sport Suspension, not Adaptive Suspension, before ordering. H&R publishes a separate part number for adaptively damped cars, and this kit should only be fitted to the suspension configuration H&R lists it against.
• Four-wheel alignment — H&R requires the wheel alignment to be checked and reset any time vehicle ride height is changed. Budget for a full four-wheel alignment immediately after installation.
• Professional installation — H&R states that its springs and suspensions should be installed by professional suspension mechanics only. Improper installation voids the H&R warranty.
• Wheel and tire clearance check — verify clearance at the fender, strut and inner arch at full lock and full compression, particularly with aftermarket wheel and tire packages.
• Installer-supplied tools: coil spring compressor for strut and shock disassembly, torque wrench, and the standard BMW suspension service tools.
