CSF High-Performance Radiator – BMW N55 (E-Chassis)

OVERVIEW

CSF’s all-aluminum replacement radiator for the E-chassis BMW runs a 2-row 42mm dual core built around CSF’s exclusive B-Tube technology. The core uses an ultra-efficient fin with 6.5mm fin height and a multi-louvered design for maximum surface area contact, so it rejects far more heat than the plastic-tank OEM radiator it replaces.

Everything that bolts to it is machined rather than molded: CNC-machined “quick-connect” inlet and outlet connections, CNC-machined brackets and fittings for fit and durability, and an all-aluminum race-style drain plug. It is a drop-in fit requiring no modifications and accepts all attaching OEM components, including the quick-connect hoses, AC condenser, mounting brackets and fan shroud.

Two versions are offered because the two transmissions use different radiators: CSF #7045 for manual transmission cars and CSF #7046 for automatic and dual-clutch cars. Choose the variant that matches your car.

Additional Parts Required

• None. CSF Radiators specifies no additional hardware for this part — it is a drop-in replacement that reuses the OEM quick-connect hoses, AC condenser, brackets and fan shroud.
• Service items you supply: fresh BMW-spec coolant to refill and bleed the system after the swap.
• Order the variant that matches your transmission: #7045 for manual transmission cars, #7046 for automatic and dual-clutch cars.

Installation

• CSF does not publish a downloadable installation PDF for this part. Printed installation instructions are supplied in the box with the radiator.
• Professional installation is recommended. Contact Speed Logic if you need help confirming fitment or sourcing OEM service parts before you start.

Notes

• CSF catalogs #7045 and #7046 across both N54 and N55 E-chassis cars, and its current fitment table adds the E82 1M and the E89 Z4 to the applications shown in earlier store copy; the E89 Z4 and E84 X1 entries in particular should be confirmed with Speed Logic against your chassis and transmission before ordering. CSF now specifies a smooth satin finish for these radiators — earlier store copy described a hand-polished mirror finish.
