OVERVIEW
The Super SQV4 Black Edition is HKS's universal sequential blow-off valve in a stealth finish: gloss black body and upper, with a grainy crystal-black funnel. Internally it is the same valve as the silver Super SQV4 71008-AK001.
The SQV uses HKS's sequential dual-valve layout with differential-pressure control. Lift off the throttle and a small primary valve opens instantly for the first release; as the pressure difference peaks it pulls the larger secondary valve open for the main discharge. Because it is a pull-type valve, rising boost pushes the valves harder shut, so it does not leak at high boost and needs no spring-preload tuning for your boost level — it works on anything from a stock turbo car to a heavily tuned one. A triple fin in the funnel produces the signature HKS sound.
This is the universal kit: the valve and the small parts needed to plumb it. Mounting it to a car that wasn't designed for it requires an SQV flange on the charge pipe.

TECH RESOURCES
- Required extras: an HKS SQV flange welded or clamped to your charge pipe, plus a boost/vacuum reference line. The flange is not included. BMW N54 owners can use an Evolution Racewerks HKS-flange charge pipe kit. GR Supra 3.0 owners should buy the bolt-on HKS Super SQV4 GR Supra kit instead.
