OVERVIEW
The Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe Kit with HKS BOV flange replaces the factory diverter valve charge pipe on 2009–2010 (Long Version) BMW 135i and 335i and the 2011–2012 1 Series M with the N54 twin-turbo engine. From June 2009 BMW integrated the "accordion" rubber elbow between the lower intercooler pipe and the charge pipe into the charge pipe itself; this Long Version replaces that integrated elbow with hard piping, the so-called "meth elbow."
The kit replaces the diverter valves with an HKS-pattern blow-off valve flange that holds up to high boost, and its smooth bends keep charge air velocity up for better throttle response, less turbo lag and more power potential. Instead of the silicone-hose connection most competitors use, it keeps a factory-style O-ring and C-clip lock flange at the throttle body and a CNC machined MAP sensor flange with the factory O-ring seal, so the connections stay leak-free under boost.

Additional Parts Required
- HKS blow-off valve (required): this kit ships with the HKS flange only, no valve. HKS Super Sequential Blow-Off Valve 4 (SSQV4).
Installation
- Evolution Racewerks does not publish an installation guide or video for this charge pipe.
- Replaces the factory diverter valve charge pipe and elbow; reuses the factory throttle body O-ring and C-clip and the factory MAP sensor.
- Contact Speed Logic for installation support or a recommended installer.
Notes
- Long Version is for cars built June 2009 or later. Cars built before June 2009 can also run it to replace the factory "accordion" rubber elbow, or use the 2006–08 Short Version.
- For off-road competition use only. Not for sale, installation or use on licensed vehicles in California. A vehicle compliance waiver is required at purchase.
