KW Clubsport 3-Way Coilovers – BMW M2 / M2 Competition (F87)

OVERVIEW

The technology of the 24-hour race winner. Using the Nordschleife as its testing ground along with a 7-post rig, KW developed the 3-way Clubsport coilover kit so that wheel loads, vehicle weight and chassis reinforcement can all be taken into account when setting the car up. As on the KW Competition 3-way coilovers, low-speed and high-speed compression damping are controlled by KW's patented two-valve arrangement on the external reservoir.

Low-speed compression damping is tuned by hand with six precise clicks on the purple adjustment dial, while the gold dial provides 14 precise clicks of high-speed compression adjustment. Rebound is adjusted separately with 16 clicks, each giving a noticeable change; reducing rebound force delivers a more comfortable ride suitable for highway driving.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• None. KW specifies no additional hardware for this kit.
• Aluminum spherical bearing top mounts are an optional upgrade, not a requirement — ask Speed Logic for availability.
• A four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation and after any ride-height change.
• Professional installation is strongly recommended; spring compressors and BMW-specific strut tooling are required.
• Check tire-to-strut and tire-to-fender clearance before driving, particularly with non-OEM wheel and tire sizes.
• Vehicles fitted with ride-height sensors (adaptive headlights, driver-assistance cameras) must have those systems recalibrated after lowering.
