OVERVIEW
KW Variant 3 is race technology adapted for the road. Independently adjustable compression and rebound damping let you build a setup around how you actually drive, instead of accepting a single fixed compromise.
KW's patented dual-level valve system separates the two adjustments: rebound damping is set for road comfort, compression damping controls the driving dynamics. Ride height is continuously adjustable across the published range.
This kit is for rear-wheel-drive F30 3 Series and F32 4 Series models without factory Electronic Damper Control.

TECH RESOURCES
Additional Parts Required
- A vehicle without factory Electronic Damper Control. This kit does not include EDC cancellation hardware — EDC-equipped cars need the corresponding KW kit instead.
- A four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation. Ride height changes alter camber, caster and toe, and the car must be corner-set to the ride height you intend to run.
- Professional installation by a qualified suspension technician. Coilovers are safety-critical components and KW specifies that they be fitted by trained personnel using the supplied instructions.
- Tire-to-strut and tire-to-fender clearance check. Aftermarket wheel, tire and offset combinations must be test-fitted at full lock and full compression at the ride height you select.
- Recalibration of any camera- or radar-based driver assistance systems after the ride height is changed.
- Installer-supplied items: spring compressor, corner-weight or ride-height measuring equipment, and the factory-specified replacement fasteners where the OE hardware is single-use.
- Vehicles fitted with headlight-levelling or ride-height sensors require the sensor links to be adjusted or relocated so the sensors read correctly at the new ride height.
Installation
- KW Variant 3 damper setup manual (KW document 685 77 044) – PDF — rebound and compression click-adjustment procedure and KW's recommended baseline settings.
- Vehicle-specific KW installation instructions are supplied in the box with the kit. Contact Speed Logic if you need a replacement copy.
Notes
- Model-year ranges above reflect standard BMW chassis and engine production years for the listed applications. Confirm exact fitment for your VIN with Speed Logic before ordering.
