OVERVIEW

The Variant 3 is KW's two-way adjustable coilover and the one most people actually want. Compression and rebound are on separate adjusters, so you can firm up body control without also killing rebound compliance, and ride height is continuously adjustable across the kit's range. It is the sensible step up from a spring-only kit and a large step up from the factory strut.

The stock damper is the limiting part on these xDrive 2 Series cars. Factory EDC valving is a single fixed compromise and the ride height is whatever the car left the line at. The V3 replaces the whole strut with a rebuildable, height-adjustable, damping-adjustable unit.

This listing covers the xDrive F22 2 Series coupe — 228i, 230i, M235i and M240i — with 3522000N, KW's V3 kit for this chassis/drivetrain, which ships with the KW EDC cancellation module required to deactivate the factory adaptive dampers.
