KW DDC Plug & Play Coilover Kit (EDC) – BMW M3 (F80) / M4 (F82)

OVERVIEW

The KW DDC Plug & Play coilover kit replaces the factory Adaptive M (EDC) dampers on the F80 M3 and F82 M4 while keeping the car's own damper controls. The factory electronics recognize the KW dampers, so the drive-mode button in the cabin continues to switch between the damper setups, now tuned by KW for its coilover.

Ride height is adjustable within KW's tested range using the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread on the stainless steel front struts and the adjustable rear perch. All displays and control elements of the car remain functional.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• Factory EDC (Adaptive M suspension) is required. This kit connects to the factory adaptive damper wiring and will not work on a car without it.
• A four-wheel alignment is required after installation and after any ride-height change.
• Installation requires removing the factory damper connectors from the harness and fitting the KW-supplied connectors; professional installation is strongly recommended.
• Check tire-to-strut and tire-to-fender clearance at the chosen ride height; KW specifies a minimum of 5 mm.
• Cars with ride-height sensors or camera/radar driver-assistance systems need those systems adjusted or recalibrated after lowering.
