OVERVIEW
KW Height Adjustable Springs are the most direct way to get a G14 or G15 M850i sitting properly without paying for a full coilover kit. You get KW springs and threaded collars that work with the car's OEM dampers, which closes up the fender gap, sharpens the handling and keeps ride quality civilized for passengers.
On a car that came with electronic dampers from the factory, height adjustable springs are arguably the better answer than a full coilover: nothing about the factory damping system has to be sacrificed in order to lower the car. Composite spring seats and trapezoidal shock threads give the durability, load capacity and ease of adjustment KW is known for, and the height stays adjustable after the kit is fitted, so you can settle on exactly the look you want.

TECH RESOURCES
Additional Parts Required
- Four-wheel alignment — a full four-wheel alignment is mandatory after installation and after any subsequent ride-height change.
- Professional installation — KW specifies fitment by a qualified suspension shop; installation at a KW specialist dealer is also what qualifies the kit for KW's extended warranty coverage.
- Tire-to-strut and fender clearance check — verify clearance at full lock and full compression, particularly with aftermarket wheel and tire packages.
- Ride-height sensor handling — cars fitted with headlight-leveling or adaptive-damper ride-height sensors require the sensor links to be relocated or adapted to the new ride height per KW's instructions.
- Driver-assistance recalibration — camera- and radar-based driver-assistance systems must be recalibrated after the vehicle is lowered.
- Installer-supplied tools: spring compressor, torque wrench, and the standard BMW suspension service tools.
Installation
- KW supplies vehicle-specific printed installation instructions and a parts certificate (Teilegutachten) in the box with every kit.
- Speed Logic could not confirm a downloadable KW installation PDF for order number 253200CE; contact us if you need a copy before purchase.
