KW V1 Coilovers – BMW 335i / 435i xDrive (F30 / F32)

OVERVIEW

The KW Variant 1 is KW's entry-level coilover kit: damping is preset by KW for a blend of ride comfort and body control, and the driver chooses the ride height. It suits the F30 and F32 owner who is not tracking the car and simply wants a lower, more aggressive stance with better handling than stock.

Because the springs and dampers are engineered as a package, suspension travel and rates are matched rather than mixed and matched, which avoids the coil bind and bottoming that separate spring-and-shock combinations can produce. Continuous height adjustment also makes it easier to set clearance for larger wheel and tire packages. Compared with the Street Comfort kit, the V1 uses stiffer springs and revised damper settings for a sportier ride.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• A four-wheel alignment after installation is mandatory — camber, caster and toe all change with ride height.
• Professional installation is strongly recommended; a lift and spring compressors are required.
• Cars with factory EDC must either use the EDC-specific kit or have the system disabled with a KW EDC cancellation kit — the non-EDC kit is a direct fit only on cars without EDC.
• Wheel spacers may be required depending on wheel and tire sizing and the ride height selected.
• Tire-to-strut and fender clearance must be checked at the chosen ride height before the car is driven.

• KW supplies printed installation instructions in the box. KW does not publish a public download for order number 1022000S — contact Speed Logic if you need a copy of the instructions before installing.

Notes

• All four listed models (335i xDrive, 340i xDrive, 435i xDrive, 440i xDrive) are six-cylinder cars. The non-EDC kit (1022000S) and EDC kit (1022000U, includes EDC cancellation) both cover the full model range shown — pick the version that matches whether your car has factory Electronic Damping Control. Years shown are the chassis production range — confirm exact fitment and the correct version with Speed Logic before ordering.
