Mishimoto Performance Charge-Air Cooler Manifold – BMW M3 / M4 (G8x)

OVERVIEW

The Mishimoto Performance Charge Air Cooler Manifold replaces the factory air-to-water intercooler and intake manifold on the 2021+ BMW G8X M3 and M4 with a single cast-aluminum, TIG-welded assembly. A robust bar-and-plate core sits inside a manifold designed to handle boost pressures over 60 PSI, with flow and cooling capacity aimed at builds well beyond stock output.

Serious power levels need serious fueling, so the manifold carries full provisions for port fuel injection: a billet fuel rail, precision-machined injector ports with optimized geometry for air/fuel mixing, and anodized aluminum injector blanks to cap the ports when they are not in use. No drilling is required. The included PTFE -AN fuel lines and fittings are ethanol-compatible and tee into the factory fuel lines. Six additional nitrous ports accept 1/8 or 1/16 NPT nozzles and can be plugged when unused.

Fitment was designed to be stock-like. The kit includes brackets to keep wiring tidy, a mount for the factory engine cover and custom EVAP lines, and a cutout in the plenum gives easy access to the oil filter without affecting flow. Like all Mishimoto products it is backed by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Additional Parts Required

• Port fuel injectors — not supplied by Mishimoto. Required if the port injection provisions are to be used.
• Port injection controller and wiring — not supplied by Mishimoto. One option stocked by Speed Logic: Motiv ReFlex+ Advanced I/O Integration
• A calibration/tune from a supported S58 software provider is required to run the manifold and any port injection safely.
• Nitrous nozzles (1/8 or 1/16 NPT) if the nitrous ports are used — not supplied.
• Consumable: fresh coolant for the charge air cooler circuit after installation.
• Installer-supplied hand tools. Mishimoto rates installation as advanced and estimates 4–6 hours.
