Precision Raceworks E9X / E8X In-Tank Fuel Filter & Regulator V2

OVERVIEW

Upgraded in-tank pumps on the E8X and E9X N54 and N55 run into a second limit: the factory fuel filter. It restricts flow and makes the pumps work harder for the pressure they deliver. The Precision Raceworks in-tank fuel filter and regulator V2 replaces it with a billet, modular housing that flows more fuel and lowers pump current draw.

It is the companion piece to every Precision Raceworks and BMP E8X / E9X low-pressure pump; those pumps are rated with this filter fitted. The element is a replaceable 10 micron microglass cartridge, so the housing stays in the car and only the element is serviced.

Two configurations are offered here. The In-Tank 5 Bar version carries a preset, boost-referenced 1:1 regulator inside the tank and works with stock or upgraded fuel lines. The Adjustable 1-to-1 version moves regulation to a fully adjustable regulator in the engine bay and includes the lines for a BMP or plate-style port injection system.

Notes

• The adjustable 1:1 regulator option (622-0272) has no check valve. Fuel pressure bleeds off when the car is shut off, which can cause longer cranking or a rough idle on start-up.
