OVERVIEW

The Pure Stage 2 is Pure Turbos' OEM-based turbo upgrade for the S63 and S63TU engines in the E70 / E71 X5 M and X6 M, the F10 M5, the F06 / F12 / F13 M6 and the F85 / F86 X5 M and X6 M. Pure rebuilds the factory turbochargers with a billet compressor wheel, a high-flow turbine wheel and an upgraded center housing rotating assembly (CHRA), while keeping the OEM housings for a factory-like installation.

This is a core-exchange upgrade. Choose your model, then choose whether to send your factory turbos to Pure first or pay a refundable core deposit and return your cores after your upgraded turbos arrive.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• Custom ECU tune: required by Pure Turbos for engine safety and to reach the rated power. Tunes we stock: MHD Super License for S63, bootmod3 S63TU tune (F1x).
• Turbo gaskets, oil and coolant line seals: single-use items that should be replaced during installation.
• Supporting fuel system: needed at higher power levels. Confirm your fueling before ordering; we can advise.

Installation

• Pure Turbos does not publish installation instructions or videos for this upgrade; professional installation is recommended.
• Pure Turbos installation, pre-lube and break-in procedure (manufacturer FAQ): pureturbos.com/faq. Pre-lube the turbocharger through the oil inlet, spin the compressor wheel to coat the bearings, idle 5–10 minutes without revving, then drive on low boost / light throttle until the car is properly tuned.
• Pure Turbos core return sheet (PDF): pure-turbos-core-return-sheet.pdf. Print it, fill it in and include it with your core shipment.
• Before sending cores to Pure, remove all accessories and hardware from them (oil lines, coolant lines, actuators, inlets and similar). Pure discards anything that is not part of the core unit.

Notes

• Send-in option: lead time starts once Pure receives your turbos.
• Core deposit option: the $1,800 deposit is refunded once your factory turbos are returned to Pure within 60 days of receiving your upgrade.
• Choose the variant that matches your vehicle: 2012–2014 M5 / M6 (Non-TU), 2015–2018 M5 / M6 (TU), 2009–2013 X5 M / X6 M, or 2015–2019 X5 M / X6 M (Pure Turbos' model groupings).
• Pure Turbos includes a limited 1-year / unlimited-mile warranty.
• Legal notice: these parts are for off-road use only and are legal solely for competition racing vehicles as defined under California law. They are not legal for use on public roads.
• Price is for the turbochargers only; labor is not included.
