Speed Logic 4" Catless Race Downpipe – BMW 228i / 320i / 328i / 428i (N20)

OVERVIEW

A downpipe is one of the best price-to-performance modifications available for the N20 engine. The Speed Logic race catless downpipe removes the restriction built into the OEM downpipe so the turbo spools faster and makes more power, and it gives the car a deeper, louder exhaust note along with the turbo sounds the factory system muffles. Depending on tuning, supporting modifications and fuelling, the gain runs from roughly 20 to 25 horsepower. Every Speed Logic downpipe is built from 304 stainless, 100% TIG welded with all welds backpurged in argon, and carries a lifetime warranty.

Additional Parts Required

• A tune is required. This is a catless downpipe, and without supporting software the car will log catalyst efficiency faults and throw a check engine light. Speed Logic supplies bootmod3 for the N20/N26 engine.
• Exhaust gaskets and downpipe hardware if yours are not reusable - factory fasteners are often seized or corroded on cars of this age.
