Active Autowerke Charge Pipe – BMW M340i / M440i (G20) & Toyota GR Supra A90

OVERVIEW

The BMW B58 uses an all-plastic factory charge pipe that, while it holds up considerably better than the N55 part before it, will eventually break at the plastic seam — at which point the engine senses a large vacuum leak and the ECU puts the car into limp mode, leaving it feeling flat and lackluster. The Active Autowerke B58 G-body Charge Pipe was designed from inception to cure that: built entirely from aluminum and almost indestructible in service, with a CNC-machined throttle body connection that duplicates the factory fit while making a tight, reliable seal, and consistent-diameter tubing that increases performance, improves throttle response and reduces throttle lag. A raised boss carries two separate ports upstream for water/methanol injection, with nozzle thread depths checked so the injected mix atomizes properly without the spray hitting the threaded holes.

Additional Parts Required

• BMW factory throttle body clip and O-ring — not supplied with this charge pipe. Re-use the items from your factory charge pipe, or source replacements from BMW, before starting the installation.
• Optional: a water/methanol injection kit and nozzles, if you intend to use the two injection ports.
