OVERVIEW
Water/methanol injection for forced induction (turbocharged or supercharged) gas-powered race engines is a proven means of effectively reducing engine inlet air temperatures and suppressing harmful detonation. This allows racers to reliably increase boost and advance ignition timing, without using high-octane racing fuel, for power gains of up to 20%. AEM's water injection kits use robust hardware and deliver more advanced features than any other comparably priced water/methanol injection system.
This kit is the heavy duty, high capacity version of the V3 system. It pairs the Boost Dependent HD Controller, which carries an on-board manifold absolute pressure sensor rated to 40 PSI and a molded boost hose pickup nipple, with a 5-gallon reservoir for long duration use on forced induction and turbo diesel applications. Reducing inlet air temperature in this way also enhances combustion efficiency and increases horsepower and torque.

TECH RESOURCES
Additional Parts Required
- Water/methanol injection fluid — not supplied with the kit. A water/methanol mixture must be added to the reservoir before use; see the AEM instructions below for the approved mixtures and safety handling.
- A boost source — the HD Controller is boost dependent and must be plumbed to a manifold pressure source via the molded boost hose nipple.
- Installer-supplied: a drill and tap to fit the injector bung into the intake tract, hand tools, wire crimping and stripping tools, and a switched 12V ignition source.
- Recommended: a calibrated engine tune once the system is installed, so boost and timing can safely take advantage of the charge cooling.

Notes
- AEM's installation instructions state that this water/methanol injection system is designed for race vehicles only.
- AEM lists this kit as a universal fit part rather than a vehicle-specific application. Note that 30-3301 uses the boost-dependent HD controller; AEM's multi-input controller, for high compression naturally aspirated engines and boost above the on-board MAP sensor's range, is a separate kit (PN 30-3350). Confirm packaging and routing for your car with Speed Logic before ordering.
