aFe Mach Force XP Axle-Back Exhaust 49-36327 – BMW 335i (N54 / N55)

OVERVIEW

aFe POWER's MACH Force-Xp axle-back exhaust system was developed for the 2007-2013 BMW 335i (E90/E92) with the L6-3.0L twin-turbo N54 or turbo N55 engine. The system is constructed from 100% TIG-welded, mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel 2-1/2" tubing, and its smooth curves and transition bends allow for low turbulence, increasing horsepower and torque and improving throttle response.

Dual high-flow transverse mufflers increase flow and performance across the power band while absorbing high-pitch tones, producing a powerful note without losing a great tone at cruise. Finishing the system are dual aFe laser-etched 3-1/2" diameter polished 304 stainless steel tips for an aggressive style.

The exhaust uses all factory hanger locations for a hassle-free installation. All aFe exhaust systems are engineered and manufactured at aFe's Corona, California facility.

• Complete axle-back exhaust kit as supplied by aFe Power, including the muffler assemblies, tips and clamps required to replace the factory axle-back section.

Additional Parts Required

• None. aFe Power specifies no additional hardware for this part — the factory mid-pipe and all factory hanger locations are reused.
• Installer supplies: standard metric hand tools, penetrating oil, and a lift or jack and jack stands.
• Optional service items: stainless-safe metal polish for the polished tips.

Installation

• aFe Power does not publish a standalone installation instruction sheet for 49-36327. The system bolts to the factory mid-pipe and uses all factory hanger locations; aFe recommends professional installation on its exhaust products. Contact Speed Logic if you need installation guidance.

Notes

• aFe's published dyno figure of +11 horsepower and +17 lbs. x ft. of torque was recorded with the 49-36328 cat-back exhaust system combined with the aFe POWER "Street" down-pipe (48-36302-HC), not with this axle-back system on its own. This item does not fit convertible models.
