OVERVIEW

The Gen3 JB4 covers the newest B48 and B58 cars — the ones most piggyback tunes still do not support. It works entirely through the engine's sensor network and CANbus, so there is no ECU flash and no conflict with locked DMEs or factory over-the-air updates.

Burger Motorsports quotes up to 130whp on a stock vehicle running 93 octane, with more available on ethanol blends. Installation takes roughly 20 minutes, is fully reversible, and the unit is not VIN-locked, so it moves with you to the next car.

Required Extras

• 91 octane fuel minimum for the performance maps; an ethanol blend for the E-blend maps.
• A compatible smartphone (iOS or Android with Bluetooth 4.0) for wireless map switching, live gauges, datalogging and firmware updates. The JB4 PRO Bluetooth adapter and the app itself are included.
• A water/methanol injection kit if you intend to use the progressive water/methanol map — the JB4 controls the kit but does not include one.
• Confirm your car is a Gen3 B48 or B58 before ordering; earlier engines take a different JB4.

Burger Motorsports does not publish an official part number for this tuner, so no part number is listed. Running an earlier B58? Use the B58 Gen1 & Gen2 JB4 instead; earlier B38/B46/B48 cars take the B38/B46/B48 JB4.
