OVERVIEW

The CSF "Level-Up" Charge-Air-Cooler Manifold replaces the OEM S58 charge cooler and intake manifold assembly with a fully CNC-machined, TIG-welded billet aluminum unit. The factory part uses plastic tanks and a crimped-on gasket seal around a tube-and-fin core that is prone to failure above roughly 27 psi; the CSF manifold carries a custom bar-and-plate air-to-water core built by PWR and pressure tested to 120 psi, so it holds up at the boost levels a built S58 actually runs.

Cooling performance improves in both directions: intake air temperatures drop by roughly 30°F against OEM, heat-soak recovery is faster, and pressure drop across the core is lower, which puts less stress on the turbo system and allows more boost at higher target power levels. Core volume is 3,996cc against the OEM's 3,233cc — 23.6% more — and CSF measured average core efficiency of 89.06% versus 86.60% for the factory unit.

The manifold is built for tuners: an included extruded fuel rail supports top-feed port injection with individual bungs on each runner (CNC block-off caps supplied for non-use), individual nitrous/methanol injection ports give per-runner spray control, an integrated sensor pad allows additional parameters to be measured, and integrated breather ports make bleeding air from the water side straightforward. The spin-off oil filter stays accessible, so the manifold does not need to come off for an oil change. A KIYLEX thermal rejection spacer is included, acting as a thermal barrier between the cylinder head and intake manifold and proven to lower intake manifold temperatures by up to 15%. Installation is true plug-and-play with OEM-level fit and finish, and no vehicle modifications are required.

Additional Parts Required

  • None. CSF specifies no additional hardware for this part — the manifold is a true plug-and-play replacement and ships with every bracket, gasket and fastener needed.
  • Coolant for refilling and bleeding the low-temperature charge-cooling circuit after installation (installer supplied).
  • Port injectors, fuel plumbing and nitrous/methanol hardware are optional and are not included — the manifold ships with the injection ports plugged.

Installation

  • CSF does not publish a downloadable installation PDF for this part. A complete printed installation guide is supplied in the box.
  • Installation requires no modification to the vehicle; the manifold mounts to the OEM locations and reuses the factory coolant connections.
