Dorch Stage 2.5 HPFP Upgrade – BMW N55

OVERVIEW

Welcome to the home of the highest powered direct injection N55 cars on the planet. Dorch's latest generation of pumps replaces the widely successful Dorch Stage 2 (DS2) with the DS25 — a Stage 2.5 unit redesigned and optimized from the ground up.

Externally the pump packaging has been updated to improve hose routing and make installation easier. Internally Dorch reworked the pressure chamber, spring rates and plunger depth and completely optimized the volumetric efficiency of the pump. The result is that the most reliable and highest flowing N55 pump on the market became more reliable again and flows more, and the DS25 is designed to run efficiently all the way to 250 bar in order to maximize the flow potential of upgraded direct injection injectors.

Just like the previous generation DS2 kit there is no cutting, no bending and no crimping; the kit drops straight in with full control from the DME, just like the OEM pump, and all of the safety and sophistication of the stock DME remains in place. Dorch backs the kit with a lifetime warranty, 24/7 customer support from working engineers and technicians, and a dedicated in-house calibration engineer who develops all HPFP files using OEM calibration tools.

Additional Parts Required

• Software changes are required to run this pump. With MHD or BOOTMOD3 N55, simply tick the box for the Dorch pump upgrade when flashing. Otherwise send your .BIN file to tuning@dorchengineering.com for the appropriate WinOLS implementation.
• Upgraded direct injection injectors are needed to make use of the pump's full 250 bar flow potential.
• Optional: the Dorch N55 Lift Kit (+38% or +49%), required to reach the higher flow figures quoted in SPECS if your power goals exceed the capacity of the DS25 alone.
• Note the correct harness style must be selected when ordering — new style for 12/2013 and later cars, old style for pre-12/2013 cars.

Installation

• Dorch Engineering does not publish a public downloadable installation manual for this kit; instructions and support are supplied with the kit. Contact Speed Logic for installation help.

Notes

• Rows marked “2013+ with OE Bosch HPFP” fit 2013 and later cars fitted with the original Bosch high pressure fuel pump only. This kit is not compatible with 2011–2012 N55 vehicles. Confirm your exact model year and harness style with Speed Logic before ordering.
