MHD Super License – BMW N55 (E-Series)

OVERVIEW

The MHD Flasher N55-E is a complete flash tuning application for your BMW N55 E-Series. Unlike a piggyback module it performs full DME remapping while retaining all OEM safety mechanisms, which allows for maximum performance, maximum safety and unrivaled drivability.

You can install MHD at home and start tuning immediately. Download the MHD Flasher N55-E app, connect the MHD wireless adapter to your vehicle's OBD-II port and pair it to your Apple iOS or Android device, then start the app — the initial installation completes in about 7 minutes. Further map changes take only roughly 60 seconds. You can return the vehicle to the factory OEM flash at any point, and no initial backup is required.

The Super License bundles every MHD function in one package: the Flasher license, the Monitor (datalogging and gauge) license and the full library of off-the-shelf maps for your engine.

• Ethanol mix maps: Stage 2+ E30 map for 30%+ ethanol blends, up to 400 HP / 670 Nm, peak 19 PSI tapering to 13 PSI (high-flow downpipes and upgraded FMIC recommended)
• OTS maps developed by Twisted Tuning, road and dyno tested
• Flash options: exhaust burble (duration in base and sport mode, aggressiveness, minimum RPM, minimum speed), kick-down deactivation, cold start noise reduction, variable coolant targets, Vmax removal, linear throttle mapping, individual minimum idle RPM and support for several aftermarket parts
• Monitor license included: configurable gauge layout with up to 8 fully adjustable gauges
• 50+ engine parameters available at a glance and logged in the background
• Datalogging to standard CSV files with a built-in log viewer; free log analysis offered by MHD
• Available monitors include boost, boost target, lambda (AFR), intake air temp, ignition timing per cylinder, coolant temp, oil temp, oil pressure, transmission temp, HPFP, throttle position, wastegate duty cycle, RPM, speed and EGT
• Advanced parameters not exposed by BMW are available, such as timing corrections per cylinder, boost setpoint and active torque limiter
• Read / delete engine fault codes and reset adaptations
• Return to the factory OEM flash at any time; no initial backup required
• Custom tuner maps and JB4 backend maps can be loaded in addition to the MHD OTS maps
• Supported devices: Apple iOS 10.2 and higher, Android 6 and higher

• No hardware is included with the license-only variant. The bundle variant on this listing adds the MHD WiFi adapter.

TECH RESOURCES

Additional Parts Required

• MHD Universal WIFI Adapter — required to flash. The license is software only; you must have a supported interface to connect the app to the car. Not included with the license-only variant of this listing.
• Alternative supported interface if you already own one: K-DCAN cable plus an OTG adapter (Android only). MHD recommends its own WiFi adapter and cannot support third-party hardware.
• An Apple iOS 10.2+ or Android 6+ mobile device running the free MHD Flasher app — supplied by the customer.
• A free MHD account. Give us the account e-mail and the vehicle VIN at checkout; the license is bound to both.
• A battery charger or maintainer. MHD states a charger is highly recommended for the initial full write (install and uninstall) and for long writes on slower adapters.
• No DME unlock is required for the N55 E Series platform.
