Burger Motorsports JB4 Tuner – BMW 135i / 335i / X5 / X6 (N55 E-Chassis)

OVERVIEW

Plug-and-play power for the E-chassis N55 with the factory DME left untouched. The Burger Motorsports JB4 reads and adjusts through the engine's own sensor network, so there is no flash, no VIN lock, and no trace once you unplug it. Figure roughly 20 minutes to install with hand tools.

The N55 changed connectors partway through production, so harness type matters more than model year alone. Type A covers most 2011 and some 2012 cars; Type B covers some 2011, most 2012 and all 2013+ cars, and right-hand-drive versions of both are available. If you are unsure, check the plug on your car before ordering — we are happy to help identify it.

Additional Parts Required

• 91 octane or higher pump fuel — required for the advertised gains. An E85 blend is required for the ethanol maps.
• Correct harness type — Type A, Type B, or the RHD equivalent must be selected to match the connector on your car.
• JB4PRO mobile app (free, iOS and Android) — used for map switching, gauges, logging and fault codes. The Bluetooth adapter is built into the unit, so no separate connect kit is needed.
• Optional: BMS Data Cable or JB4 Mobile cable for a wired laptop connection with additional gauges and datalogging.
