Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe Kit – BMW B46 / B48

OVERVIEW

The Evolution Racewerks B46/B48 Charge Pipe Kit replaces the factory plastic charge piping on 2016 and later BMW four cylinder models. The factory pipe was never designed for the boost levels a tune produces and splitting is a common failure; this kit replaces it with mandrel bent 6061 aluminum backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Charged intake airflow has a direct effect on throttle response, turbo lag and maximum power, and smooth bends with minimal obstructions are what matter. The upper pipe uses a long smooth transition from 2.5" at the turbocharger outlet to 3" at the throttle body, matching the factory approach. Competing pipes run 2.5" all the way to the throttle body, which leaves a step right at the throttle plate. Evolution Racewerks states the result is better throttle response and less turbocharger lag.

Every flange on the kit is CNC machined for precise fitment and the whole assembly is TIG welded. The kit consists of an upper and a lower charge pipe, and both are included and required for installation.
