Evolution Racewerks Competition Series Catless Secondary Downpipes – BMW X5 M / X6 M (F95 / F96, S63M)

OVERVIEW

Evolution Racewerks Competition Series catless secondary downpipes for the BMW X5 M (F95) and X6 M (F96) with the S63M twin-turbo V8. The S63M runs four catalytic converters, two primary and two secondary; these replace the secondary section and leave the primary catalysts (factory or aftermarket) in place. Removing the secondary catalysts raises the horsepower and torque curves and improves throttle response and turbo spool. The secondary downpipes sit after the secondary O2 sensor that monitors the catalysts, and Evolution Racewerks states they do not trigger a check engine light.

• Mandrel bent 3" piping
• 100% 304 stainless steel construction, 100% TIG welded
• CNC machined billet 304 stainless flange duplicating the factory flange
• Stainless O2 sensor bung and laser cut brackets, TIG welded with stainless rod; O2 sensor stays in the factory location
• Retains the factory slip-on connection
• Competition Series: catless design for maximum flow

• Supporting tuning is recommended to realize the performance gain (sold separately). Evolution Racewerks states the secondary downpipes sit after the secondary O2 sensor and do not trigger a check engine light on their own: Bootmod3 S63TU4 Tune – BMW M5 / M8 / X5M / X6M (F9x) (cars built before June 2020), MHD Super License – BMW S63 (M5 / M6 / M8), or Burger Motorsports JB4 Tuner – BMW M5 / M8 / X5M / X6M (S63 F9x).
