Evolution Racewerks Competition Series Mid Pipes – BMW M3 (G80) / M4 (G82) S58

OVERVIEW

Evolution Racewerks Competition Series Mid Pipes replace the factory resonated mid section on the 2021 and newer BMW M3 and M4 with the S58 engine. The factory resonators exist to quiet the exhaust, but they restrict flow. Deleting them and running mandrel bent 3" (80mm) tubing improves exhaust flow, raises the power curve, brings torque in earlier and produces a more aggressive exhaust note.

The set uses an "H" style crossover to equalise pressure between the left and right banks. Evolution Racewerks tested both "X" and "H" crossover designs and found the "H" reduced droning and improved low end torque compared with the "X", which is also the design BMW chose for the factory mid pipe.

Construction is 100% 304 grade stainless steel, TIG welded in house and built in the USA, with CNC precision cut billet stainless exhaust flanges. The factory bracket hanger is retained, the laser cut hanger bracket is TIG welded with stainless rod, and high quality exhaust clamps join the mid pipes to the rear muffler section. The pipes are designed to fit the factory exhaust or any aftermarket exhaust built to work with the factory mid pipes.

Additional Parts Required

• None. Evolution Racewerks specifies no additional hardware for these mid pipes; the factory bracket hanger is reused and all installation hardware is supplied.
• Installer supplies normal hand tools, a vehicle lift or stands, and penetrating oil for the factory exhaust fasteners.

Installation

• Evolution Racewerks does not publish a downloadable installation guide for these mid pipes. They install in place of the factory resonated mid pipes using the supplied clamps and hardware.
