Evolution Racewerks Sports Series Resonated Mid Pipes – BMW M2 (G87)

OVERVIEW

Evolution Racewerks' Sports Series Resonated Mid Pipes for the twin turbo S58 engine fit the 2023 and newer BMW M2. They swap the restrictive factory resonators for free-flowing units, which raises the maximum horsepower curve, brings the torque curve on faster and holds it higher and longer, and improves throttle response and turbo spool.

The resonated version is designed to sound close to factory rather than louder. It suits owners who do not want more volume than stock, or who already run aftermarket downpipes or an exhaust that has become too loud, while still gaining performance. Mandrel bent tubing throughout supports the flow improvement.

An "H" style crossover is retained to equalize pressure between the left and right exhaust pipes, which promotes flow and reduces droning. ER tested "X" and "H" designs and found the "H" crossover reduced droning and improved low end torque; BMW uses an "H" crossover on the factory mid pipe as well. The mid pipes are built from 100% 304 grade stainless steel with mandrel bent piping, 100% TIG welded in house and made in the USA, with CNC precision cut billet stainless steel flanges. The factory bracket hanger is retained, laser cut and TIG welded with stainless rod, and high quality exhaust clamps join the mid pipes to the rear muffler section.

• Evolution Racewerks does not publish a downloadable installation guide for these mid pipes. They bolt to the factory flanges, reuse the factory bracket hangers and clamp to the rear muffler section.
