H&R Street Performance Coilover – BMW 2/3/4-Series RWD, Non-Adaptive Suspension (F22/F23/F30/F32, N20/B46/B48/N55/B58)

OVERVIEW

The H&R Street Performance Coil Over pairs a custom-valved shock with a precision-engineered progressive-rate H&R spring, so damping and spring rate are matched to each other rather than mixed and matched. This application covers the rear-wheel-drive F22/F23 2 Series and F30/F32 3 and 4 Series cars built without factory Adaptive Suspension (EDC/DDC) — H&R publishes a separate valving for cars fitted with the electronic dampers, and the two are not interchangeable.

Every damper uses a fully threaded shock body, so ride height is set continuously rather than in fixed steps and can be fine-tuned corner by corner. The dampers are mono-tube gas units built from premium materials for a lower center of gravity and improved control, with H&R quoting an average height-adjustable range of 1.0 to 2.5 inches across the Street Performance line.

• Damper configuration check — confirm your car is NOT fitted with factory Adaptive Suspension / Electronic Damping Control (EDC/DDC) before ordering. H&R publishes a separate part number for electronically damped cars, and this kit should only be fitted to the damper configuration H&R lists it against.
• Four-wheel alignment — H&R requires the wheel alignment to be checked and reset any time vehicle ride height is changed. Budget for a full four-wheel alignment immediately after installation.
• Professional installation — H&R states that its springs and suspensions should be installed by professional suspension mechanics only. Improper installation voids the H&R warranty.
• Bumpstop trimming (application dependent) — some H&R part numbers require the front and/or rear bumpstops to be trimmed to a specified length. Check this part number against the trim chart in the H&R technical information sheet linked below before you start.
• Wheel and tire clearance check — verify clearance at the fender, strut and inner arch at full lock and full compression, particularly with aftermarket wheel and tire packages.
• Installer-supplied tools: coil spring compressor for strut and shock disassembly, torque wrench, and the standard BMW suspension service tools.

• For vehicles without factory Adaptive/Electronic Damping Control (EDC/DDC) suspension — confirm your car's suspension type before ordering. RWD only; xDrive cars require a different H&R part number.
• H&R's own fitment chart for this part number also lists the F30-generation 328d diesel sedan (N47 2.0L); it is omitted from the table below pending confirmation that Speed Logic stocks parts for the diesel 3 Series. Contact Speed Logic if you need fitment confirmed for a 328d.
• A single-source fitment fetch briefly surfaced a G20 330i row against this part number. That is incorrect for this SKU — cross-checked against USP Motorsports and Achtuning, this kit is F-chassis only, RWD only. G20/G22 xDrive, non-adaptive-suspension cars use H&R part 28658-5 instead.
